Your adventure starts today with National Road 7 or the RN7. We drive from Antananarivo to the town of Antsirabe, or the City of Water, a 6-hour with many stops for discovering all-day and photo. Antsirabe is Madagascar's forth-largest town, surrounded by volcanic massifs. Known as the ‘Malagasy Vichy’ because a large thermal spring with a thousand virtues . After settling into your hotel, a rickshaw tour of the city is a recommended adventure with its own charm. You can discover the majestic railway station on Independence Square and the Hôtel des Thermes. A huge building with colonial architecture dating from the early 20th century, it is the oldest hotel in Madagascar. We also suggest taking a tour of the craftsmen to admire their skills: embroidery, weaving wild silk, raffia and sisal, making various objects from zebu horns, lapidary, as Antsirabe is renowned for its precious stones market.

Little hike to the Tritriva Lake

Volcanic Lake Tritriva sits atop Mount Tritriva in central Madagascar, not far from Antsirabe. Tritriva is located of 1950 meters, its deep, opaque waters, with their distinctive blue-green colour, are the subject of many mysteries and beliefs.

After the little adventure to the volcanic lake Tritriva, we continue our trip to the south to the city Ambositra.

Continuation of your tour along the southern Madagascar road to Ranomafana National Parc, but before leaving the city, we meet some of the craftsmen and woodcarvers. We visit a Zafimaniry Palaces, and discover the culture of Malagasy People. Ranomafana means the hot water, this evening you can enjoy the hot spring to relax before the hiking tour for the next day

Hiking tour in the Ranomafana National Parc

Ranomafana National Park is home to an abundance and variety of wildlife, including lemurs. Early in the morning, guided tour on foot. Depending on your timing and physical condition, you will discover the fauna of Ranomafana, including different types of lemurs, chameleons and birds, as well as the flora, including orchids and different types of medicinal plants. In the afternoon, you can relax or take a massage after swimming in the pool of the hot spring

Back to the highland, we drive to Ambalavao, we discover amazing scenery, we pass throw valley. We stay one night in Ambalavao.

Hike in Anja Parc

In the afternoon, we do a hiking tour to see the Lemur catta, the famous king Julian in the Animation Film Madagascar.

Before leaving Ambalavao, we visit handcrafts, such as embroidery workshop, traditional paper-making and silk-breeding. Continuation of your journey on the road to the south of Madagascar to Ranohira, we leave the granite landscape to drive through the savanna of the Horombe plateau. We stay 3 nights in Ranohira. This is a small town on the edge of the Isalo National Parc mountain range. The starting point for many hiking trails

Day 8 and 9 Hike in Isalo National Parc

Isalo National Park, Madagascar's most popular nature destination, lies amidst the Jurassic-age high plateau of the south-west of the country. Founded in 1962, it protects over 80,000 hectares of land dominated by a spectacular sandstone massif eroded by time and weather into an unearthly collection of plateau, canyons, gorges and pinnacles. Iron and mineral deposits color the rock formations in a rainbow of different colors. The dense forests and meadow plains that surround them are teeming with unique flora and fauna.

We have breakfast and then leave the rocky landscapes of the Isalo behind us, giving way to immense sun-drenched grassy savannas: we are already in the true south, in the region of the Mahafaly and Antanosy tribes. Along the way, we can admire the magnificent of wealth with the saphirre city of Ilakaka, Madagascar is famous of this precious stone. One the way to Toliara, you will discover a dilemma of Madagascar, with huge and richly decorated tombs: for these tribes build more beautiful houses for their dead than for themselves, the living. At the end of this long car transfer of 6 hours bad road, we reach Toliara and continue for 30 minutes drive to the hotel to beach.
